Alternately, ^ɔiyyôb may be akin to Hebrew ^ɔōyēb, enemy; see yb.) 2. Jezebel, from Hebrew ^ɔîzebel, where is the prince?, from î, akin to ê, ^ɔayyē, where? (zebel, prince; see zbl).
